Some weddings just stay with you.
Cordell and Skylar’s day at The Legacy Barn in Bridger was one of those days where you can feel the love in every corner. We first met for their winter engagement session near my home in Vida, Montana. There was snow on the ground and a chill in the air, but none of that mattered with these two. They were full of easy laughter and the kind of connection you can’t fake.
By the time their summer wedding arrived, I couldn’t wait to see them again. The Legacy Barn gave us the most beautiful setting, with rustic beams, wide-open Montana skies, and that golden light that makes everything feel a little more magical.
What I loved most about their day wasn’t the details or the timeline. It was how present they were. Cordell and Skylar soaked up every hug, every laugh with their friends, and every quiet moment together. When we slipped away for sunset portraits, they didn’t need direction or poses. They just were. The images we created in those moments are some of my favorites because they feel real, unhurried, and full of heart.
This post is just a small peek into their full gallery, but it’s enough to show what made their day so special. Weddings like this remind me why I love what I do. It’s not about trends or perfection. It’s about the people, the connections, and the story you’re building together.
I feel so grateful to have been part of this chapter for Cordell and Skylar, and I can’t wait to capture whatever comes next for them, whether it’s an anniversary, a family session, or another milestone along the way.
If you’re planning a Montana wedding and want photos that feel honest, relaxed, and true to you, I would be honored to tell your story in a way that feels like more than just pictures. Get started here.
